Liu Yao hexagram

Liu Yao is the six-line divination method built on the I Ching (Yijing) — sixty-four hexagrams, cast with three coins. You get the full Najia structure: six relations, six spirits, month and day, void branches. The one thing schools genuinely disagree on, the hidden spirit (伏神), is a switch: five lineages, same chart, different report. Then hand the whole thing to AI as a locked context pack and keep asking about this hexagram.

Three coins per toss — six tosses build the hexagram from the bottom line up. Use heads as yang and tails as yin: three heads = old yang (moving), two heads one tail = young yang, one head two tails = young yin, three tails = old yin (moving).

To throw the coins, hold all three in both hands, settle on the one question you want to consult the I Ching about, and let them fall on a flat surface. The meaning of each line comes from its position and its moving state; the meaning of the whole hexagram comes from the two trigrams plus the moving lines.

Three numbers. First two pick the upper and lower trigram by the Xiantian order (1乾 2兑 3离 4震 5巽 6坎 7艮 8坤), the third picks the moving line (mod 6).

Pick a hexagram directly (for reviewing a recorded case) and mark its moving lines.

Deterministic Najia structure. The school switch only changes the hidden-spirit layer.

The pack is everything an LLM needs and nothing else: cast moment, month/day/void, both hexagrams, all six lines with hidden spirits, the useful-god position, and the locked-chart rule — answer from this chart only, do not switch hexagrams, do not wander, do not revise the report.

Locked context: the AI only reads this chart. Answers below are a deterministic rule engine standing in for the LLM — swap LY.answer() for an API call and the prompt is already written.

What this is. Liu Yao applies a traditional interpretive framework to a cast moment. It is offered for reflection and study. It is not medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice, and no outcome is promised.
