Celebrity charts, read by one rule
Reading a known life against a chart is how Four Pillars has been taught for centuries. Case studies are also, unfortunately, where this field is at its least honest — because a chart that has already been matched to a biography can be made to look accurate no matter what it says.
So every case study here follows the same four rules.
The four rules
- Grade the birth time. Every chart is labelled with how well the birth hour is documented — AA (birth or hospital record), B (astrological record), or none. If there is no hour, we read three pillars and say so.
- Show what depends on the hour. Every case study includes a table of the same date calculated at several plausible times, so you can see which conclusions hold and which are decoration. This is the part other write-ups omit, and it is the part that decides how much of a reading is real.
- No predictions. These are descriptions of structure mapped onto events that already happened. Retrodiction is cheap. The system has never demonstrated reliable predictive accuracy and we do not pretend otherwise.
- No death analysis. Several published readings of these charts were built by working backwards from a death date to find the clash that "explains" it. We do not do that. Fitting a system to an outcome after the fact is narration, not prediction.
The charts
Ordered by how well the birth hour is documented — hardest first.
AABruce Lee
The textbook case of 伤官驾杀 — Output restraining Authority — in a chart that is half Earth storage vaults, two of them clashing open. Also the case where the most-quoted number depends on a birth between 7 and 9 a.m.
AAPrincess Diana
A chart with no Water anywhere — no Resource, no cooling, no protective layer — for a vine growing in the hottest month of the year. AA rating, and the whole reading still collapses if she was born two hours later.
AAMarilyn Monroe
No Earth — and for Yin Metal that is not a defect, because Earth buries metal. Two Eating God stems sit between the metal and the Fire, which makes output the only available form of relief.
BTaylor Swift
A lamp lit in the deepest water month, with zero visible Wood — the Resource element — while both 未 branches quietly store a Wood root underground. The famous repeated Day-Hour pillar is the least reliable thing about it.
No hourJungkook
The full twelve-hour test: Day Master and strength hold in all twelve, but "no Wood" and "no Water" each fail in four. And on this date Wood and Water can never coexist, so a chart can have support or authority — never both.

The report shows all four pillars, every hidden stem, the Ten God weighting and the elemental ratios — and it states plainly which conclusions hold if your birth hour is a guess.
Build my chartAll charts on this page are studies of publicly documented birth data, offered as cultural reference and education. BaZi is a traditional interpretive system, not a science. No page here makes a claim about any real person's character, health, relationships, or future, and none interprets a death. Calculations run in your browser and are reproducible at the chart page.
